Transfer #7

Image
This week has been full of interesting events. Let me just get into it.     Last Monday we had a district activity and that was fun. We got together and played some games and got to say some goodbyes as a lot of people were leaving this transfer. That's about it for that day.     Tuesday we had our last district council of the transfer. Again not too much happened this day or anything interesting.     Wednesday was good. This day was the start of the new transfer and started out with a good lesson with a guy named Albert. Later we met with a girl named Linda who is progressing very nicely and came to church yesterday! Now after this appointment we went and stopped at a roundabout waiting to hear if our next appointment was a go or not. Basically waiting for them to text us back to see if we can come. As we are standing there waiting, I see two people waiving their arms around at eachother. As I looked more closely, I just started to stare. At that moment I ...

What a week it has been for this week. This week was quite full of very boring times and few exciting times haha. Let me get right into it.     Last Tuesday we had a district council meeting. Was quite nice actually because I gave a training from Preach My Gospel and everyone recieved it well! We also happened to celebrate Elder Nicholes and Elder Muhire birthday by having a member make us something called roleggs which is native to Elder Muhire country and it was very good. It's like tortilla with fried egg in the middle. Then the member made Key Lime pie (African Version) per request of Elder Nicholes. This was also very tasty. Then nothing too interesting happened after the meeting.     Wednesday, unfortunately like usual, most of our appointments fell through so we went contacting. We were able to meet with Ernestina though who is now on baptismal date for this Saturday! It will be the first baptism in Legon Branch since anyone can remember, so at least longer th...

Popped Tire + 7 mile bike ride + sweaty and late = Someone on baptismal date     What a week its been down in the sweats of I mean Land of Africa haha. This week was good and knowledgeable. Weird experiences leading to non expected results.      Tuesday was quite non eventful. We had nothing planned so we went around talking. The whole day. What a day. We did find a member and made a LOT of contacts which helped for the rest of the week. But that be it.     Wednesday we had Zone conference. We learned a lot I must say. We went to Tema which if any of you remember this was my first zone I was in. Was cool to be back for the day. We learned a lot about how to teach Doctrine of Jesus Christ and to better teach repentance so it was good. I also got some more Kente ties so pretty stoked about that.      Thursday we started out with some planning for the week and then right when we had to bike to our appointment I realised my back tire was fla...

Welcome Adom!

Hello Everyone!!      What a week it has been. Goes from popped tire, to a friendly bash, that moves towards a baptism to close the week. Let's just say I learn something new every week.      Last Tuesday started with a district council and lunch with friends. Later we taught Adom and had dinner. Nothing too fancy.     Wednesday was a busy day. Taught around 5 lessons and had a good bash(Meaning I went back and forth with a guy trying to prove things out of the bible lol). In the evening we prepared Adom for her baptismal interview and finished up teaching some things.     Thursday we taught a recent convert In the morning then popped my tire right after which was not good because we had to be places that day. So walked my bike like 20 min to the nearest shop I knew and got it fixed then we went off to planning for our week. Afterwards we had all of our appointments fall through which was unfortunate but in the evening Adom had her inter...

Aeeikoo!!     Another week down and the start of a new month. This week went very well and there was a lot of good lessons that felt meaningful.     Tuesday we had our regular district council meeting. That went well and learned how to work with members better. Afterwards we got some food and and in the evening time we were able to meet with Adom and she was great! We've even seen her four times this past week teaching her and hope to baptise her this Sunday!! She's ready and willing to hear.      Wednesday we met with some good people and were able to answer this Muslims questions and exchange knowledge with eachother. This Muslim is different from Fattah who we saw last week. In the evening time we met with a nice member named Sister Yeboah. She gave us a nice meal of rice and stew and we shared a short message.     Thursday we had a nice weekly planning and was able to plan for our week. Afterwards we were able to meet a recent convert and...
