Madina Madina Madina
What a week it has been for this week. This week was quite full of very boring times and few exciting times haha. Let me get right into it.
Last Tuesday we had a district council meeting. Was quite nice actually because I gave a training from Preach My Gospel and everyone recieved it well! We also happened to celebrate Elder Nicholes and Elder Muhire birthday by having a member make us something called roleggs which is native to Elder Muhire country and it was very good. It's like tortilla with fried egg in the middle. Then the member made Key Lime pie (African Version) per request of Elder Nicholes. This was also very tasty. Then nothing too interesting happened after the meeting.
Wednesday, unfortunately like usual, most of our appointments fell through so we went contacting. We were able to meet with Ernestina though who is now on baptismal date for this Saturday! It will be the first baptism in Legon Branch since anyone can remember, so at least longer than a year an half. So we are excited about that.
Thursday like always we do our planning for the next week. After planning we met with this person named Linda and her sister is going to our church in Tema and her sister says that she(Linda) should join. So thats why she called us over when she saw us riding by. So thats pretty cool and we will see how it goes. Nothing interesting after that.
Friday we taught Erik about the plan of Salvation and like always he had plenty questions. We don't see him getting baptized anytime soon but it always cool to go over to him and teach and answer his questions. We also taught several other people and their names are Nancy, Diana, and Mabel.
Saturday was a day. Saturday morning we found out that there is going to be no change here in Madina 2. So that means I'll be in Madina 2 for another 6 weeks which means altogether at least 9 months being here. Thats why the subject is all Madina haha. Also Nicholes is staying here too. All I trust in is that God has a plan for me that I can't see haha. Then as the day goes on, 4 out of the 5 appointments we had set fell through. One right after another. What a day. But no need to worry because the last appointment was with a member and he took us to cheesy pizza and it was very nice.
Sunday we had a good day at church. We told the Branch President that we are having a baptism this week and he got all excited like he was a little kid again haha. Was funny to see. Afterwards not much happened. In the evening, the whole mission got on a zoom call and watched the Devotional from last week by President Nelson and was really good! I recommend to anyone to watch it! Lots of good insight and advice to help us through our lives. One thing I liked was what we should Label ourselves, and the three labels that should come before everything is I am a child of God, I am a child of the Covenant, and I am a disciple of Jesus Christ.
Today we have a district activity so that should be fun to see everyone and hang out. I also hit 9 months on mission yesterday so thats pretty cool. I've learnt so much and would never trade any of the experience I've had since being on mission. I know that the things that I have learned, I wouldn't have been able to learn them in any other way. So I am grateful for that. Here's to the next 15. Love you all! But Jesus Loves you more of course.
Much Love,
Elder Busschau.
