Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year

Image
Hello Everyone!      This week goes down as one of the best weeks on mission so far. Even though it was Christmas and I'm away from home, plenty happened that made up for it.     Tuesday we had our Christmas Zone Conference which was very nice. Our Mission President came and talked to us for a little and then we had a nice feast with some fufu, rice, chicken and several other things. I was able to see some of my good friends from my last area that I hadn't seen in about 9 weeks. Was so cool to see them again. That night we started an overnight exchange and I was with my good friend Elder Farabee.     Wednesday we had the exchange and was a super cool time over all. Definitely made some memories that are engraved in my head now and some good times to look back on. We were able to learn from each other and do some good work together. Overall was a fun yet efficient time.     Thursday we went over to a member meal, like my third one on mission h...

Christmas/Baptism Time

Hello Everyone!!     This week has been quite the busy week over here. Christmas time is ramping up and the people are showing love.      Last Tuesday we had a zone council where everyone in our zone came up and discussed this transfers goals. Pretty self explanatory. Not too much after that happened.      Wednesday we had the baptismal interview with George and he passed! We were very happy for him and he got baptized yesterday! Later that day we celebrated our District Leaders one year on mission by going to KFC and burning a shirt. Was a good time. We met an interesting person and his name just also happened to be George. But let's just say he is little farther behind than the George we are baptising haha.     Saturday was very cool, we had a Christmas concert at the stake center and got to see all the different wards sing and see the ways of how Africa sings their songs. Was a cool experience. Lots of dancing and singing. You know it...

Purpose = Happiness

Hello Everyone!!     This week has been a good week. Last Wednesday was the beginning of my third transfer and I am officially out of training. Whoop whoop!      Tuesday we were able to find two new people in our other area called Legon. These two guys are students and we were surprised they even had time to do so. Luckily everyone is on vacation break we have come to find out so that is cool. They are actually very smart and one of them is studying Chinese and is the Chinese language president at the University. We taught them about half of the Plan of Salvation but they were having a hard time understanding that the fall of Adam and eve was part of the Plan so we have some work to do. They are pretty cool though.     Not sure if I have mentioned him before but we have been teaching this gentleman named George and he is just so ready. He literally came up to us and said I want to be baptized but the bishop said I have to talk with you guys first so te...

Another Transfer Down

Image
Hello Everyone!     This was the last full week of the transfer which also means I am now done with my training! It's been a learning experience these past three months but I'm grateful for all of it.      Transfer news came in last Saturday and I am staying in Madina 2 with Elder Sawyer so no changes for me. Actually my whole district is staying so really no changes at all. I am happy for that because I get to continue to teach the people here and I don't have to pack all over again haha.      Yesterday we were able to confirm both Gayos and Junior as members of the church and that was very cool. They both seem like they will progress in the church very nicely and will be very good people.      This week nothing too fascinating happened other then we are teaching this one person named George and he really wants to be baptized and even the bishop who is close friends with him is like I want him baptized before Christmas haha. So tha...
