Busschau 2 - Mouse 0

Image
Yeah we have a mouse problem. Let's just say these little guys don't live long when I see them. I can send pictures If asked for. Hope all of you are doing well! I've had a pretty good week. We had our first interviews with President Beeson. It was wonderful, I'm very grateful for his inspiration and advice. I can feel he was truly sent to this mission for a purpose.  This week we were able to put one of our good friends on date for baptism. Her name is Sister Vida and she is a mother to 5 children. She has been being taught by missionaries for long time and finally I get the privilege to be the missionary who will witness her baptism (hopefully). She has shown lots of faith and we've had some great spiritual lessons with her. Hopefully she will keep to her commitments and she will be baptized on the 19th August. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to see people come closer to Jesus Christ. You can truly see the light that shines brighter within them.  There is ...

His Work.

Welcome back to another one. We back at it again. Not a whole lot interesting happened this week though. Sooooo without further a do,  We had a great Zone Council on Tuesday. My last one. We went over some goals and plans for the transfer and it seems everyone is on board!  This week we had a lot more time in our area and were able to get some good work done. Nothing too note worthy. Took some good pictures though! Just soaking everything in. Elder Wood is a good companion and he wants to get some work done! So that's great. There's really not a whole lot to write about this week so sorry for that. I know Jesus Christ lives, I hope you know that I know that. He leads and guides this Church and work. This is no man's work, this is His work, I know that. I can't mess it up and you can't either, but we can sure help move it along. That's what I will try to do. With His help, all is possible. Same goes for you. Heavenly Father is the Gardner, we are His children. We...

The Ball Is Rolling

Transfer travel extravaganza. Fast and furious meets transfer day. We may have been drifting down a mountain going 80mph in a van scared for my life. Good times. What a week. Elder Mabuku is home now. Love that guy. Monday and Tuesday he was saying goodbye to lots of people and we also tried to teach some other friends. Tuesday night I got my temporary companion named Elder Hoopes. You may recognize the name, good friend of mine. Then Wednesday morning Mabuku left to Accra to go home. Wednesday was a good day just trying to plan some last minute things and teach.  Thursday was a hectic day. I was doing transfers all by myself since Elder Mabuku had to leave a day before. Was quite an experience since our driver thought he was in fast and furious but with a prayer and telling him it's ok to slow down, we are alive another day. To be honest it was all fun and cool to run everything though. To explain transfers a little bit, we have to pick up everybody in our zone that us getting tra...

Last Transfer

Image
The time is coming, near at hand. This week I will start my last transfer on mission. About 6 more weeks. What a ride. Alright let's talk about my week. Was a good week. Busy with planning and preparing for Elder Mabuku to leave. We had a devotional with President and Sister Beeson on Wednesday. They are great and are bringing in a lot of energy to the mission which is awesome. I'm excited to work with them. They helped us realign our purpose as missionaries and gave some good trainings.  I had an exchange on Friday with an Elder named Elder Boone. Good guy. We went to their area so it was cool to see another side of my zone for a day.  We got transfer news on Sunday evening. My new and last companion on mission is named Elder Wood. I've heard good things about him and I've talked with him a few times in the past. I'm excited to work with him. I'll be very sad to see Elder Mabuku leave though, we have built a great friendship. He'll be off to Zimbabwe on Thu...

The Last Week, For Mabuku

Hey long time no see. Yeah this email will be more informing you on what's coming up this week. But before that... The weekend was good. It rained a lot but we got some good work done still, despite the rain thankfully. We got our new mission president on Saturday! Still haven't heard anything from him though. We have a meeting with him tonight so I'm looking forward to that. Had a good time a church also.  This week we have a devotional with President Beeson on Wednesday. This is also the last full week I will be with Mabuku. He will leave next week Wednesday. It's been a wonderful transfer. We get transfer news this Sunday and that's when I will find out who will be my last companion on mission for my last transfer. What an adventure.  Ok so till next Monday. Love you all.  Much Love, Elder Busschau.
