One Transfer

Image
Hello Everybody!     Wednesday marks the end of the first transfer and start of the second. Typically you stay with your first companion for two transfers but mission president is actually transfering me to a different area. I will be in an area called midena with an American compamion. It will be a nice change and i'll be able to learn new experiences.      Not a whole lot happened this week. I went to the beach twice which was very cool, once on pday which was last monday and then the tuesday after because we were close by teaching people.     Didn't have a baptism this week but the kpone area will have one next week! I won't be here though because I am leaving on transfer. I am a little sad that I am leaving though because there are some pretty cool people here but I am excited to see what else is out there and to have the experience with an American companion.      I'll let you all know how the new companion and area is in the next e...

One Month??

Good day everybody!     Quite a few things happened this week. We had another baptism, interviews with the mission president, haircut, and snail?      Last Saturday we baptized a girl named Jennifer and confirmed her on Sunday. She was great! She made a lot of big changes in order to be baptized so it was cool to see her take that step.      Wednesday we had interviews with the mission president so that was nice to talk with him and revieve council. Transfer is in about a week and half so we will see what happens.      Now I know you have all been waiting to see this haircut lol. So I went to someone who has never cut white people hair. To be honest, not half bad. He kind of put a black person haircut on me haha. But could have been much worse so I'm happy with what I got.      We went to a members house who served us pasta with meat and it was very good. About half way through eating my companion says is that regular...

Baptism

Hello Everybody! This week I had my fist baptism where my companion and I also taught the person! His name is David and he is 12. He seems pretty happy to be here so that was cool to see. On Friday we went on exchanges which means I was with a different missionary the whole day which was a cool experience. It was my first time actually leading the day which was both nice and a little scary. In the end the day went really well and a good experience over all. I had pizza for the first time here and it was gooood! When we went to district council which is like meeting where a group of missionaries go and talk about their weeks, there is a KFC near by the building so I was able to get that! The foods here are still very interesting, I'm still getting used to them slowly but surely. The weeks still go by with ups and downs with good days and then just days, but as I push and try my best to stay focused I get through them. Mission definitely isn't easy, but it's definitely a grow...

3rd Week Africa

Hello Everybody! This week has been pretty interesting. Wednesday we had our first zone conference and it was pretty good. Had some great lessons to teach us how to teach better and then how to lead by the spirit. We really didn't do a whole lot this week besides just teaching people, nothing too interesting. Kids still come up to me and want to feel my hair and leg hair haha, they always say I have "plenty hair" haha. I didn't take too many pictures either so sorry about that, I'll try to get more next week. As the weeks go I am able to feel the spirit more as I go through challenges. Its still hard here and there but it is getting better.  We have some baptisms coming up this weekend which I am pretty excited about so that will be cool. General Conference was great! It was lights out though meaning no power where I was so we had to watch it on our phone and it was hard to watch but it was still good and strong! Always love all of your support so thank you very m...
