The Day Has Come, For A Lot Of Things.

Image
Aye long time. Been some days. Hope all of you are doing well! It's been a great couple of weeks. Let's talk. Starting last week we had a great devotional with President and Sister Young. Talked about going home and some advice for us. Then they took us out to a very nice lunch at an italian restaurant and ice cream after. It was beautiful. They go home tomorrow so it's crazy. President and Sister Beeson are in the country now. So excited for them. The rest of the week was good. Lots of good work. I've been having some powerful personal studies and I know the Book of Mormon is true. I've had some great spiritual experiences lately.  This past ween has been great too. Monday we worked, was a long day as you can guess haha. Not as bad as I thought it would be though. Thursday I had a meeting called "Finishers Wanted" that talked about finishing strong and some things that I needed to know about going home. Still all feels so unreal. So cool to the growth tho...

I Fulfil Prophesy Everyday

Image
I fulfil prophesy everyday says Elder Gong. That's got to be pretty cool. What a great week this week. I'll hit on the main points. We had to wake up on Wednesday at 3am. Then pick up our whole zone on a mini bus then make the drive down to Accra. Beautiful drive but long. We had a great devotional with Elder Gong. Spirit was very strong and the teachings were powerful. Talked about being a disciple of Jesus Christ and fulfilling prophesy. Was so cool. I also saw a lot of my mission friends which was amazing. One thing Elder Gong said that I really enjoyed is that most people think we are called to a place. But rather we are called to people whether that's a companion we need to be with or a mission leader or even a investigator or member. And that calling missionaries was one of the more revelatory experiences they have. I have definitely seen that I have been called to a people and specefic people. God is Good. The work is divine.  Rest of the week was good. We just did...

The Preparatory Week

Image
What a week in Oyoko. Not a whole lot actually happened though. But was a good week. We had stake conference this past Sunday. So yeah that's two stake conferences with-in three weeks. It was good, some good speakers. We had an area authority come and he mainly spoke French so he had a translator for his whole talk. He taught about giving your will to the Lord. Good talk.  Last Tuesday we had our zone Council meeting where we presented our goals to our zone for the transfer. It went well and people seem to be excited for this transfer.  This coming Wednesday we will meet Elder Gong! I'm very excited. Except that I have to wake up at 3am to get to Accra on time. Will be a revelatory experience. Only got 10 weeks left on mission. Deep breath in, deep breath out. What a wild time to be at. Greatest experience of my life. Been easy? No. Far from it. Worth it? Every minute that made me grow and change my life and grow a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Because He Lives. Sorry...

Country Roads, Take Me Home...

People who can't prounce my name don't call me Elder Bush for nothing!! It's beautiful out here! Hey everybody! Hope we are all doing great. I am now in Oyoko. Let me tell you a little about the week. Beginning of the week was sad saying goodbye to all of my wonderful friends in Bethlehem. I've really made some good friendships out there. Then a guy named Muhammed lifted up my whole bike with his mouth. Pic below. One of my good friends gave me a water bottle. How kind. Interesting gift but I know it meant a lot.  After all the goodbyes I had to get packing and get ready to go to my last area on mission. Oyoko.  Thursday comes around and it's transfer day. Starts early morning, we start sending missionaries to their new zones and then areas. After a little bit I pack my things in the van that is going to my new zone called koforidua. I met my companion Elder Mabuku and we off. About 3 hours later and tons of beautiful views I wish I took pictures of, we got there. W...
