Another One
Popped Tire + 7 mile bike ride + sweaty and late = Someone on baptismal date
What a week its been down in the sweats of I mean Land of Africa haha. This week was good and knowledgeable. Weird experiences leading to non expected results.
Tuesday was quite non eventful. We had nothing planned so we went around talking. The whole day. What a day. We did find a member and made a LOT of contacts which helped for the rest of the week. But that be it.
Wednesday we had Zone conference. We learned a lot I must say. We went to Tema which if any of you remember this was my first zone I was in. Was cool to be back for the day. We learned a lot about how to teach Doctrine of Jesus Christ and to better teach repentance so it was good. I also got some more Kente ties so pretty stoked about that.
Thursday we started out with some planning for the week and then right when we had to bike to our appointment I realised my back tire was flat and my front was a little low. What a great way to start the day. And the nearest shop was like 15 min walk in the opposite direction and we had a strict schedule to follow because the person couldn't meet after an hour. Oh yeah and the about 7 mile bike ride there and back. So we prayed and decided to get the tire fixed first and then bike our butt's over there. Somehow we got there just in time (still late though) all sweaty before she wouldn't have been able to meet. A member was with us also but at the end of the meeting she said she wants to be baptised and soon! And I was just like "what a day haha"
Friday was nothing special but had several good meetings. People wanting to learn and helping Recent Converts and members learn more and understand better of what what do now.
Saturday was similar to Friday so just some good times meeting people. Saturday was able to talk to some people about to go on missions and give them some encouragement and to also let them know they will suffer small small haha. But it's all for their growth so learn in every moment.
Sunday we had a good church service with the members and was able to confirm Adom! She is now officially a member and is strong! She will be great. After church we had a Priesthood meeting also which was really interesting and learned a few things myself. Never Underestimate the power of God! It's truly Divine.
That's it for this week. This Saturday we get transfer news so by next week I'll be able to tell you if I'm in Madina for another transfer which would make 9 months here (nervous laughter) or if I will be moving somewhere else! Love you all and all of the support you give me. Have a great week and remember, no-one is to far from the Atonement of Jesus Christ and His Light. Till next week!
Best,
Elder Busschau.
