Christmas/Baptism Time
Hello Everyone!!
This week has been quite the busy week over here. Christmas time is ramping up and the people are showing love.
Last Tuesday we had a zone council where everyone in our zone came up and discussed this transfers goals. Pretty self explanatory. Not too much after that happened.
Wednesday we had the baptismal interview with George and he passed! We were very happy for him and he got baptized yesterday! Later that day we celebrated our District Leaders one year on mission by going to KFC and burning a shirt. Was a good time. We met an interesting person and his name just also happened to be George. But let's just say he is little farther behind than the George we are baptising haha.
Saturday was very cool, we had a Christmas concert at the stake center and got to see all the different wards sing and see the ways of how Africa sings their songs. Was a cool experience. Lots of dancing and singing. You know it's not quite like Christmas here but they definitely have their own way of celebrating.
Sunday we had a baptism for George! This one was especially cool because it was my first time actually being the baptised! Was a very cool experience and spiritual. You could just tell that this man was going to go far by the spirit he brought and that you could feel around him.
This Tuesday we have our Christmas devotional with the mission president and the mission so I'm also pretty excited for that. We should have a nice message and then some nice fufu afterwards.
This week has been pretty interesting seeing that Christmas is just around the corner and it's the first one away from home. Somedays I don't even remember that Christmas is just there and somedays it hits hard. But regardless its interesting to experience the new culture and to learn more because it only makes us stronger right? Thanks for everybody who shows there support for me. I really Appreciate it and everything helps even if it's little.
I love you all but Jesus Loves you more!
Merry Christmas!!
Best,
Elder Busschau.
