Truth And Love

Wow long week Chale. Was a good week though! We've been going around and working hard. Let's talk about it.



Tuesday we had a district council meeting and then we went finding (tracting) for people for a very long time and then we went to Accra in the evening time for an exchange with the APs. That night was the first night I have slept in A/C for over a year and a half. Probably the best night I've ever slept in Ghana haha. No joke though I did wake up freezing so that was cold. 



Wednesday we were in the APs area called Jamestown. It's a cool area and very diverse. It also has the art market which is just filled with all the African art you could think of. I was with Elder Callister and I learnt a lot from him. Pictures will be below. I also saw the Black Star again.



Thursday we were back in bethlehem and we did some plannings and went out again. Mainly taught a few people and then went around meeting some people we have previously met. Also apparently word got out in the mission that I know ASL because we had some Elders in another zone from us, call us this day and said some deaf people came up to them and they weren't to sure what to do. So they video called us and I was able to sign to them and help them out. One of the most tender parts from this story though was when I asked "why did you go up to the Elders?" They signed back that when they saw them, they just felt so happy that they had to come up to them. So cool. I helped them out a little more and made a plan with them on how they can learn more with those Elders. Super cool. In the evening time some Elders in our zone came down and did an exchange with us also. 



Friday we were on an exchange but this time in our area. I was with Elder Johnson and was a fun time. Definitely was busy and went around teaching, finding, and contacting. Was a good solid day and enjoyed the time.



Saturday was a super solid day. Had great lessons about Jesus Christ Church and the restoration and met with some great friends of ours, was just a good day. Elder Loving and I are doing great over here. 



Sunday was cool. We had a good church service. Although not that many people came because there was a couple funerals that happened in some peoples hometowns. But we had a good service nonetheless. We taught a second hour class and just learned more about Jesus Christ. After church we tried to meet with some people and then we had our usual reports and call ins to fill the night. 



Was a super solid week though. The work is true. I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and I know they Love me. I'm so grateful to know that truth. If you haven't learnt that yet I encourage you to find out for yourself. They want you to know more than ever. Also I love you too. Your killing it. 



This week we have transfer news. So we will find out Saturday what happens. I don't suspect any change for me but we will see how the zone changes. Till next week!

The Last *Full* Week

Yep, you read it correctly. This upcoming week is my last Monday to Sunday on mission. The week after I go home. Fly home that is. What an exhilarating time to be in. I am excited. But till that day comes, I'm here working and putting my last finishing touches in Ghana. The work is sweet, divine, and no where near my own work, but I'm here helping it.  This past week we've had some interesting experiences. We met an old African American women who was anti and didn't like white people. Was sad to see, someone so lost believing anything she sees online and giving no time or thought to the actual truth. Where truth is the spirit manifests itself, during that conversation there was no spirit, and not an ounce of happiness from her face. The gospel I Share brings joy to my heart everytime and to others it is shared with, as they embrace it. Please remember this when going around sifting through truth. The Home Stretch

I'm just going to say sorry right now that these last couple emails are probably going to be short because there's just a lot of preparation going on and just a lot of teaching, nothing big is really happening right now. So with that... I had a good exchange on Wednesday with some Elders. I went with Elder Miles from Utah. He has a lot of potential.  We did a lot of finding this week with trying to find new people to teach. We will always see some funny sign boards or some weird name of a place. This week I found New York! Pic below. We also just went up some mountains trying to find people. Even the mountain people need the gospel and ordinances. Good times.  Now we are up to Busschau 3 - Rat (we have found out that these are RATS) 0. That's what they get for peeing on my clothes.  So I have 2 more pdays after today. Busschau 2 - Mouse 0

Yeah we have a mouse problem. Let's just say these little guys don't live long when I see them. I can send pictures If asked for. Hope all of you are doing well! I've had a pretty good week. We had our first interviews with President Beeson. It was wonderful, I'm very grateful for his inspiration and advice. I can feel he was truly sent to this mission for a purpose.  This week we were able to put one of our good friends on date for baptism. Her name is Sister Vida and she is a mother to 5 children. She has been being taught by missionaries for long time and finally I get the privilege to be the missionary who will witness her baptism (hopefully). She has shown lots of faith and we've had some great spiritual lessons with her. Hopefully she will keep to her commitments and she will be baptized on the 19th August.
