The Last *Full* Week
Yep, you read it correctly. This upcoming week is my last Monday to Sunday on mission. The week after I go home. Fly home that is. What an exhilarating time to be in. I am excited. But till that day comes, I'm here working and putting my last finishing touches in Ghana. The work is sweet, divine, and no where near my own work, but I'm here helping it.
This past week we've had some interesting experiences. We met an old African American women who was anti and didn't like white people. Was sad to see, someone so lost believing anything she sees online and giving no time or thought to the actual truth. Where truth is the spirit manifests itself, during that conversation there was no spirit, and not an ounce of happiness from her face. The gospel I Share brings joy to my heart everytime and to others it is shared with, as they embrace it. Please remember this when going around sifting through truth. Doctrine and Covenants 93:36, "The glory of God is intelligence, or, in other words, light and truth". Truth will be manifested with the spirit. How great my joy is in this message. It brings the peace not as the world gives, but as He gives to us. John 14:27.
A similar experience happened later in the week again. A person who didn't believe in Jesus Christ. We try to help but as Jesus Christ did, we don't force nor will we ever. If people don't want to listen we move to others who will. But one thing always comes to my mind, a line from the Hymn "We Thank Thee, O God for a Prophet" it says, "While they who reject this glad message, Shall never such happiness know." Come and know it. It is sweet above all. #stayhumble
Was a slower week on the appointment side, several of our appointments fell through this week which made for a lot of time of going around knocking on doors and gates. What a wonderful time. Also went on an exchange with some good Elders. I went with an Elder named Elder Kuseya for D.R.C. he was cool. A gentle Giant.
We have zone conference tomorrow, my last one. I'm pretty excited for it. I'm so grateful for all these experiences I'm gaining right before I get out. Experiences I couldn't ever pay for or manufacture. Only that the mission could give me. How grateful I am for this mission. If your thinking about, I'll give you a hint, you can never comprehend what you'll learn or gain from a mission. How it will change you. Go with Faith my friends. It will change you, and thats a good thing. In fact, a wonderful beautiful thing. I know, it's unpredictable and scary and a lot of other things but! But thats what makes it so great right. As the old saying goes, if it was easy everyone would do it! Pray about it, then go with faith. Love you all and He loves you most.
Till my next and final email,
Much love,
Elder Busschau.
