Savior And Redeemer

Another week in the books. My last birthday on Mission done. I'm now to the full grown age of 20. Going to be honest not a lot happened this week. So sorry for another short email.

Tuesday we had a great district council and birthday. Some people sang to me and then I got some ice cream as you guys already know. Wednesday was the transfer day and everything went smoothly. No complaints.

Thursday we did a lot of planning and setting goals for the zone this coming transfer. And then taught a lot of people.

Friday we went to Accra for Mission Leadership Council (MLC) and talked about the mission. Was a cool meeting and we learned more about Jesus Christ and how he is our main message. Afterwards we planned for more meetings we will have this week.

Saturday we went around and taught a lot of our friends. A good day.

Sunday we had a great time at church and we were able to confirm brother Kofi! Probably one of the biggest miracles we have seen is his wife turning a complete 180. Months ago when missionaries first started to come by she was very against us and would never want to meet with us. But over some months now and some heart softening and prayers answered she is coming to church and wants to be baptised also! So we will teach her and do our best with Christ.

Elder Loving and I have really seen the power of prayer this week. Not just with praying hard but with real sincere prayers and trying to find the elect people. We have met some really cool people this week and have been guided. We know He is in our work and lives.

I also felt the spirit guide me strongly in a lesson we had today with a girl who was scared to change. One of the few times on my mission where I have really seen the problem someone is having on progressing in life really. Scared to go into the uncomfortable and grow. Really felt the spirit help me on what to say. Cool experience and one I'll look back. Can't really put it into words.

Savior and Redeemer. I've been reading this book called the Continuous Atonement by Brad Wilcox. I recommend to anyone who wants to learn more about Jesus Christ Sacrifice for us. One chapter he explains the difference between Savior and Redeemer. As it seems you can use both interchangeably, but they are actually different and he shows the need for both of them. A Savior is someone who saves us from something we cannot save ourselves from. A Redeemer as one definition says, is to changes us or make better. To redeem us higher. His grace not only saves us, but its there to help change us and make us grow. So next time we so thankfully thank our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ for grace, also ask yourself, "How am I changed by Grace?" It's a good question haha. That's the whole point of being here right. Anyways think about it for yoursleves.

I love all of you! Thanks again for all of the birthday wishes! Write me and let me know what's up! This week I'll hit 5 months left on Mission so that's crazy. Lots to do still. Till next time.

Much love,

Elder Busschau.

Group ones are from MLC and these are all the guys I came out with to Ghana with the exception of three others. We are all now in the MLC so it's cool to meet up when we can.
