Then There Were Three
Hello everybody! I'm back again. I know your all excited to read haha. But this week has been pretty interesting so let us talk about it. Ok? Ok.
Tuesday we dey. We had our district council meeting and it went well! I'm getting better at leading this big district so it's cool. Afterwards we did some finding in our area and met some pretty cool people. We were also able to teach some of our good friends.
Wednesday we had another exchange with our office Elders. These are the Elders who do all the paper work for the mission so it was fun to take them out for a day. I was with Elder Willis and he's a real cool guy. It was a fun day and we did some good missionary Work. Nothing too much outside of that.
Thursday we did our weekly planning and saw a lot more of our progressing friends. It was a full day so it was great but I was tired by the end of it haha. Nothing else there.
Friday is when the big stuff happened. In the morning we got the news that Elder Alaurin (the Philippine) was going home that day and was leaving in a couple hours. Little bit of a quick notice haha but he left and now I am in a trio companionship with myself, Elder Mbuyi, and Elder Odedina (Nigerian) until the end of the month which is also the end of the transfer where then Elder Odedina can get a new companion. So it's been a little bit of an adjustment now being over two areas of people and being in a trio for the first time. But it's been a cool learning experience. We tried to alternate areas for the rest of the day seeing all the peoples so it was a busy day. But now there are only three of us.
Saturday we met some people in sangonaa then for the rest of the day we were in teshi 1 which is now my other area. Was also a busy and tireing day but the day is sweet by the end of it.
Sunday was busy haha. Since we are also over two wards we had 4 hours of church. I love church but four hours is..... just wonderful. After church I had to call my people like always in my district and then we went to a members place where she served us plantain and garden egg pepper stew. It was interesting to say the least. Good Times. She is a old grandma who is really trying so shes cool. I also showed her a picture of my mom and dad. She said you guys are beautiful. Especially you dad haha. She also said I am now a Ghana man because I spoke twi so I guess I am Ghana man now.
That's about it for this week. This coming week we have zone conference on Tuesday. So I'm pretty excited about that. Should be a good time. I also have another exchange with our APs (Assistant to the President) Elders so should be another good time. But that's it for me. I'm sorry I don't write back a whole lot but I promise I read all of your emails! I love them very much. And I love and miss all of you! Have a great week! Or else. Till next time!!
Favorite message learnt this week: God has a plan for you! Your supposed to be going through whatever your going through right now. I promise that. Even if you felt you put yourself there, there's a reason you put yourself there. Learn from it. Grow to be stronger. That's what life's all about right?
Much love,
Elder Busschau.
P.S. Somebody asked if the dog tasted like chicken. Yes. Yes it does. Pretty good chicken too.
