2022 Bye Bye
Hey everybody! So a lot has happened. Our phone got stolen last week so that is why no email last week. I'll try my best to recap last week.
Last week was wild. So I did some baptismal interviews and the Philippine in my apartment passed out and we had to cary his body back to our apartment and then now he is going home for some other reasons and then last week Friday some guy on a moto bike pushed me and stole my phone out of my hand and drove off and that day wasn't too fun because we were pretty far from our apartment and couldn't call anybody haha. We had an exchange and I went with one of my old companions Elder Nicholes! Also we had new years and that was fun because now it is 2023! I can finally say I go home this year. What a great phrase. Don't get me wrong, Ghana is sweet but nothing beats home. Mission is going well though. We were also phoneless for 5 days. We finally got a new phone last Tuesday.
Tuesday we had interviews with our president and it went well! Nothing too exciting though. Afterwards we went back to our area and did some work.
Wednesday we had District Council and it was fun. I'm used to having pretty small districts but this District is 7 companionships so it is quite big to be over this many. Then afterwards I had another exchange with some other Elders. I went with Elder Black (he's white incase you were wondering) and it was fun! Apparently he went to the airforce academy before he came on mission so that's cool. Was a good exchange.
Thursday we had weekly planning and it was alright haha. Afterwards we met a member who she told us she is apostate so that was fun. She's not really but she just got busy after she served mission and is just trying to find the right way again. She means well. I think.
Friday was good. Went and taught some of our progressing friends and then I did another baptismal interview. I can't go into to much detail because his information is confidential but he is a really cool guy and he strengthened my testimony. He has been through a lot and he is happy he found this church.
Saturday we taught a few people. We had to do exchange with the Elders in my apartment so they could go into their area. Since the Philippine can't go out really right now, they have been just waiting around so we went with his companion so he could get some work done. And then after that I went and did another interview for baptism. Good people.
Sunday was a good time at church. It is no longer combined with all the congregations and it is just Sangonaa Ward now. So it was good to meet more of my members. After that I called my district members to see how they are doing and then went and taught some people. We also ate a lot of food because some members fed us and I about exploded of fufu and ackpalae (probably spelt that wrong). But good day.
I know this email is kind of all over the place so sorry for that haha. It's been a good couple of weeks and good new years. I'm happy I can now talk with all of you again! So let me know how you are doing! This week we don't have to much going on so fun times. Remember the year is how you make it! Alright love yall! Till next week! Unless my phone gets stolen again
Much Love,
Elder Busschau.
Also a side note I forgot to mention. On new years eve at the young single adult party I ate dog. Yep. So little buddy out there I ate. Pretty good though I can't lie. Alright just thought you guys should know. Bye bye.
