December Already?!?

Another week, another month, almost another year. What's up everybody!! Here I am back at it again with another email. So enjoy yourselves as you read haha. Let's see what we got this week. 

 

 

Tuesday we had interviews with President Young. They went well! He also put my name down for transfer. This just means he'll see if he can move me around if that's what the Lord wants. It was good though. I was also talking with sister Young and she said that we would know who our new mission president will be by January. President and Sister Young go home in July so I'll only have the new one for a month. After interviews we went back to our area and taught some of our progressing people. 

 

 

Wednesday we had another exchange and this time it was with Ashaiman 1 area which has Elder Williams and Elder Jensen. Was a fun day and we saw a lot of people. I was with Elder Williams while Bentley was with Elder Jensen. Having the little variations in my week really breaks up the weeks which makes it really nice.

 

 

Thursday we had our weekly planning like every other week so you probably already knew that. But then afterwards all of our appointments fell through so fun times. But we pushed on and tried to meet with the people we could. 

 

 

Friday was similar to Thursday. We had a lot of appointments fall through and we tried to make some time up. Around 5pm though Ghana football team was playing in the World Cup so our Chapel was hosting the game. We went over there for a little to bond with the members of course and the energy was insane. Ghana lost but they were still happy because the team we were going against also came home. Then after the game they hosted a Fireside which was on goals and families so it was good. 

 

 

Saturday was good because we were able to teach a lot of people. We went to katamonsu and had around 7 lessons each about an hour or so. Was a good time going up there. Nothing to interesting though. 

 

 

Sunday was good. We had all of our confirmations for the baptisms we had last week. Our member relationship is improving each week which is so cool to see. But not much happend here honestly. The evening time I called my District members and filled out all the reports so fun times. 

 

 

That's about it for this week. We have transfer news this Saturday so I'll let you know what happens in the next email. Not much going on this coming week besides that though. During one of my personal studies I think last week I made a quote with the guidance of the spirit. May not be that good but maybe it will help someone so here it is, "Sometimes your looking for something that you don't need to find." -Abe Busschau. I hope someone likes it. The Last *Full* Week

Yep, you read it correctly. This upcoming week is my last Monday to Sunday on mission. The week after I go home. Fly home that is. What an exhilarating time to be in. I am excited. But till that day comes, I'm here working and putting my last finishing touches in Ghana. The work is sweet, divine, and no where near my own work, but I'm here helping it.  This past week we've had some interesting experiences. We met an old African American women who was anti and didn't like white people. Was sad to see, someone so lost believing anything she sees online and giving no time or thought to the actual truth. Where truth is the spirit manifests itself, during that conversation there was no spirit, and not an ounce of happiness from her face. The gospel I Share brings joy to my heart everytime and to others it is shared with, as they embrace it. Please remember this when going around sifting through truth. The Home Stretch

I'm just going to say sorry right now that these last couple emails are probably going to be short because there's just a lot of preparation going on and just a lot of teaching, nothing big is really happening right now. So with that... I had a good exchange on Wednesday with some Elders. I went with Elder Miles from Utah. He has a lot of potential.  We did a lot of finding this week with trying to find new people to teach. We will always see some funny sign boards or some weird name of a place. This week I found New York! Pic below. We also just went up some mountains trying to find people. Even the mountain people need the gospel and ordinances. Good times.  Now we are up to Busschau 3 - Rat (we have found out that these are RATS) 0. That's what they get for peeing on my clothes.  So I have 2 more pdays after today. Busschau 2 - Mouse 0

Yeah we have a mouse problem. Let's just say these little guys don't live long when I see them. I can send pictures If asked for. Hope all of you are doing well! I've had a pretty good week. We had our first interviews with President Beeson. It was wonderful, I'm very grateful for his inspiration and advice. I can feel he was truly sent to this mission for a purpose.  This week we were able to put one of our good friends on date for baptism. Her name is Sister Vida and she is a mother to 5 children. She has been being taught by missionaries for long time and finally I get the privilege to be the missionary who will witness her baptism (hopefully). She has shown lots of faith and we've had some great spiritual lessons with her. Hopefully she will keep to her commitments and she will be baptized on the 19th August.
