A Week Of Miracles

This week a lot of wonderful events happened and the miracles of God were shown. Let's explore this week.

Tuesday was the last District Council of the transfer. My zone leader (Elder Ballow) was going home and some other people were leaving the District so it was a good one. Afterwards we taught some people and tried to make the most of the day.

Wednesday we went and was just teaching around our area. We saw some of our progressing people and tried to serve people. Some appointments fell through though so we had to go finding other people to teach. This day I also became District Leader over my District.

Thursday we had our weekly planning like every Thursday and was able to teach one of our progressing people. Then I had to go to my Zone leaders area to do a baptismal interview for them. Was a little scary since I didn't have any training on it yet so I was just going off the questions and what people have told me but it actually went pretty well! He Passed! So that was good for them. Then after that, Elder Bentley had a six week check Up with everyone he came to Ghana with and President Young. Was good.

Friday was a good day! By this point we have two people on date for baptism for the 27th of this month. Emmanuel and Mabel! Thats a miracle right there to start. Now this day was good. Some appointments fell through at the beginning but we got to see some people in the afternoon. We also had a guy bash with us which was cool. It was about priesthood authority and afterlife. If you were wondering, yes, yes I did win haha. But it was sad that he couldn't open his heart but we will continue to talk with him and be open. Was a good day.

Saturday we went to katamonsu again. We taught several of our people up there. And we found some new people also to teach up there which was cool. We are teaching this one guy named Francis who is just so cool. He is about 37 years of age and can't really read yet but he begs for reading assignments so he can learn and get back to us. He is way cool and inspiring. He wants to be baptised but he is living with his girlfriend and kids so we are working on getting him taught and married. After him we went to a nice member meal and they fed us rice and stew.

Sunday had a couple miracles in it and both I'm really excited about. So like usual, we went to church and it was good! After church we talked to Isaac about how he is doing with his smoking problem. And it was a spiritual experience with him just telling us how hard it is to stay away and how hard the temptations are but he said it is by the grace of God that he is still here and he knows he needs to be baptised and that's why he is willing to make the change. Very inspiring for me to see someone with that dedication and drive to stop like that and get rid of your friends who do those things. So he is still ready for baptism on the 27th also. So we have about three people going to be baptised on the 27th of this month. Then after the lesson with isaac, one of my things of being District Leader is I have to make and collect reports of people and call all of my District and some administrative things so that takes up some of my Sunday now but it's good. Then for the next miracle this day and more of a tender mercy for me is I met another deaf person! But this one is different. So I often walk by Love and greet her and sign with her because her shop is on the way to a few people we teach. I haven't been able to teach her lately because she has been very busy. But anyways there is sometimes more deaf people signing with her that I meet as I walk by. But as I was walking by her shop this day in the evening time there was a deaf girl that is about 24 and she greeted us. Then I come to find she goes to our church!! I was like what?!?! She goes to a place about an hour or little less from where I live called tema and that's where she worships. But she lives in my area. But then get this! She is currently being taught by white missionaries there who do sign language!! She is actually not baptised yet because she is waiting to finish school but it sounded like she finishes like this month. She is only taught once a week on Sundays because she only goes to tema on Sundays. So I told her I can come teach her throughout the week! She happily excepted and it was way cool. Now this was super cool only for the problem that she doesn't have a phone haha. So I don't really have contact with her again unless I see her or Love can help me find her because all I know is the general area of where she lives. So definitely one of these days I am going to go trek to find her house so I can help teach. But a cool thing nonetheless.

Welp thats everything for this week! Was a cool week with some trials and learning experiences. My training meeting for being a District Leader got moved to this Wednesday so I'll let you all know how that goes. Miss and love you all though! Have a great week! Till next time.

Much Love,

Elder Busschau.
