You're Always Ready Right?
Hello again! This week wasn't too interesting so I'll keep it short.
Tuesday we had district council and I had the opportunity to teach about how to recognize the spirit. It went well and I think everyone learned a little something including me. After wards we went and taught a few people in our area.
Wednesday I had the wonderful opportunity again to teach Josephine. I was also able to learn more about her. Her sister and her are the only people who are deaf in her family. Josephine is 24 and wants to be a teacher for sowing later in life. We had a great time talking and was able to teach her a little about our Loving Heavenly Father and how the Gospel blesses us! Afterwards we went and taught a member and a few recent converts.
Thursday we had our weekly planning and taught several people. Nothing interesting.
Friday we got to teach Naomi again. She was getting her hair done so we couldn't talk to much about her life so we just taught a lesson about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We then taught a few other people. Later in the evening we went to teach a girl named Kekeli and as we are waiting for her to be ready, she stays very close to Josephine so I signed with her more as we were waiting. I'm teaching Elder Miller small ASL so he is enjoying signing with her too.
Saturday was good. Not too interesting, just went around teaching people in Katamanso.
Sunday was interesting. About a minute before church started the second councilor pulled me over and said something along the lines of "You are always in an active calling right and always ready" and I was like uh oh. He said nobody showed up for a talk and then they asked me if I could give one and of course I said yes. Literally 5 seconds after I said yes the stake president walks in to join our church meeting haha. My talk was good though and the spirit definitely helped me. But was not expecting that. After church we met with several members and they fed us groundnut soup and rice and boiled chicken and cow skin. Think of it as peanut butter with no sugar and tomato paste soup lol. Not bad though. We also talked to Edmund, Richmond, and Deborah's parents about being baptized this coming Sunday. They said they will think about it and get back to us. Please keep them in your prayers! They seem like they will say yes but we are hoping for the best!
Anyways thats it for this week! We have zone conference this Wednesday so I'm excited for that. Hope you all have a great week! Love and miss you all! Till next week,
Much love,
Elder Busschau.
