Labor Day!

Another week, another pday. Hello everybody! Hope you are all doing well! Let's start!

 

 

Tuesday we had zone council with our zone and it was good. There were a few good trainings and tips. Afterwards we taught this family who is always excited to listen to us so it's fun.

 

 

Wednesday I signed with Josephine. I found out her name is Josephine and she is way cool! I signed with her while Elder Miller taught her boss. She doesn't talk with anyone except some friends at school. That's it. I told her what we do and I plan on teaching her again on Wednesday. We talked for about half an hour, the longest I've ever signed with someone haha but it was a great experience. Can't wait for this Wednesday to teach again. Afterwards we taught some more people and then taught a new member.

 

 

Thursday we did our weekly planning for the week and then we went out and taught a few kids. Not a lot happened.

 

 

Friday we met with Naomi. She is doing well. She has chosen not to go because she got Pregnant. We were excited for her but at the same time a little worried. We will continue to teach her and help her. She also told us her parents are getting divorced because her dad cheated on her mom, so this is interesting. We have some work to do. After Naomi we taught some other people.

 

 

Saturday was a busy day! We went to monsu again and taught all of our people up there. We also saw Tracy's niece and nephews and put them on date for the 18th! They were excited and we are happy for them.

 

 

Sunday we had a great day at church and it is always great seeing the members and setting times to meet with them. Not much after church, we just returned some clothes to some other missionaries.

 

 

That's it for this week. Not a whole lot but it was an interesting week nonetheless. Miss and love you all! Have a happy labor day!

The Last *Full* Week

Yep, you read it correctly. This upcoming week is my last Monday to Sunday on mission. The week after I go home. Fly home that is. What an exhilarating time to be in. I am excited. But till that day comes, I'm here working and putting my last finishing touches in Ghana. The work is sweet, divine, and no where near my own work, but I'm here helping it.  This past week we've had some interesting experiences. We met an old African American women who was anti and didn't like white people. Was sad to see, someone so lost believing anything she sees online and giving no time or thought to the actual truth. Where truth is the spirit manifests itself, during that conversation there was no spirit, and not an ounce of happiness from her face. The gospel I Share brings joy to my heart everytime and to others it is shared with, as they embrace it. Please remember this when going around sifting through truth. The Home Stretch

I'm just going to say sorry right now that these last couple emails are probably going to be short because there's just a lot of preparation going on and just a lot of teaching, nothing big is really happening right now. So with that... I had a good exchange on Wednesday with some Elders. I went with Elder Miles from Utah. He has a lot of potential.  We did a lot of finding this week with trying to find new people to teach. We will always see some funny sign boards or some weird name of a place. This week I found New York! Pic below. We also just went up some mountains trying to find people. Even the mountain people need the gospel and ordinances. Good times.  Now we are up to Busschau 3 - Rat (we have found out that these are RATS) 0. That's what they get for peeing on my clothes.  So I have 2 more pdays after today. Busschau 2 - Mouse 0

Yeah we have a mouse problem. Let's just say these little guys don't live long when I see them. I can send pictures If asked for. Hope all of you are doing well! I've had a pretty good week. We had our first interviews with President Beeson. It was wonderful, I'm very grateful for his inspiration and advice. I can feel he was truly sent to this mission for a purpose.  This week we were able to put one of our good friends on date for baptism. Her name is Sister Vida and she is a mother to 5 children. She has been being taught by missionaries for long time and finally I get the privilege to be the missionary who will witness her baptism (hopefully). She has shown lots of faith and we've had some great spiritual lessons with her. Hopefully she will keep to her commitments and she will be baptized on the 19th August.
