Last Week

Hello Everyone! 

 

 

This is my last week until I hit one year! It's crazy to think that but I'll talk more about it next week. This week has been pretty good. Not a lot happened so this email won't be too long.

 

 

Tuesday we had our district council. Was pretty good. Then we taught a few people after.

 

 

Wednesday we went over and talked with Naomi! So a little update in her, things have gotten worse. Everything about the husband that we thought was just in her head, is actually true. The husband is cheating on her and at the same time he says if she doesn't give him child after 3 years then he will leave her. As if he isn't already cheating on her. He is a pretty horrible guy but for some reason Naomi still loves him very much, very loyal. Unlike him. So we are talking about the atonement and how to be bold haha. She is also pretty lonely since the husband goes off all day so we will try or best to help her. Please pray for her. 

 

 

Thursday we had our weekly planning and taught a few people fter that. Not a whole lot.

 

 

Friday we just taught some more people. Nothing too interesting. 

 

 

Saturday was another super busy day. Just from the beginning all the way to the end of just traveling and teaching. Felt good at the end if the day but again I was tired haha.

 

 

Sunday we had church and that was good. Our stake president came over and talked to us so it was cool. After church we went to a member's house and she fed us rice and groundnut soup. Was very good. 

 

 

Sorry I didn't write too much today. Just not that much happened this week and we have an activity today so don't have too much time to write. But I'm grateful for all of you and miss and love you all! Write me! I love reading about what's going on in your lives! Alright, till next week!

 

 

Oh and also, the new transfer starts this Wednesday and Elder Miller and I are staying together in Zenu, so no change.

The Last *Full* Week

Yep, you read it correctly. This upcoming week is my last Monday to Sunday on mission. The week after I go home. Fly home that is. What an exhilarating time to be in. I am excited. But till that day comes, I'm here working and putting my last finishing touches in Ghana. The work is sweet, divine, and no where near my own work, but I'm here helping it.  This past week we've had some interesting experiences. We met an old African American women who was anti and didn't like white people. Was sad to see, someone so lost believing anything she sees online and giving no time or thought to the actual truth. Where truth is the spirit manifests itself, during that conversation there was no spirit, and not an ounce of happiness from her face. The gospel I Share brings joy to my heart everytime and to others it is shared with, as they embrace it. Please remember this when going around sifting through truth. The Home Stretch

I'm just going to say sorry right now that these last couple emails are probably going to be short because there's just a lot of preparation going on and just a lot of teaching, nothing big is really happening right now. So with that... I had a good exchange on Wednesday with some Elders. I went with Elder Miles from Utah. He has a lot of potential.  We did a lot of finding this week with trying to find new people to teach. We will always see some funny sign boards or some weird name of a place. This week I found New York! Pic below. We also just went up some mountains trying to find people. Even the mountain people need the gospel and ordinances. Good times.  Now we are up to Busschau 3 - Rat (we have found out that these are RATS) 0. That's what they get for peeing on my clothes.  So I have 2 more pdays after today. Busschau 2 - Mouse 0

Yeah we have a mouse problem. Let's just say these little guys don't live long when I see them. I can send pictures If asked for. Hope all of you are doing well! I've had a pretty good week. We had our first interviews with President Beeson. It was wonderful, I'm very grateful for his inspiration and advice. I can feel he was truly sent to this mission for a purpose.  This week we were able to put one of our good friends on date for baptism. Her name is Sister Vida and she is a mother to 5 children. She has been being taught by missionaries for long time and finally I get the privilege to be the missionary who will witness her baptism (hopefully). She has shown lots of faith and we've had some great spiritual lessons with her. Hopefully she will keep to her commitments and she will be baptized on the 19th August.
