Aiikooo! 

 

 

What a week. This week has felt very very long but also pretty short at the same time. Let me get started.

 

 

Tuesday we had our interviews with President. Mine went well. He didn't tell me much but was just a good check up meeting. Afterwards we went finding next to the Ashaiman Dam. Pretty cool lake actually, got some pictures. We found a few people and then we taught some kids later in the evening.

 

 

Wednesday we had our zone council meeting. Everyone in our zone met up and had a meeting. Was good! Learnt a few things. Afterwards we went finding and taught a lot of people. One thing I do like here in zenu is that it is easier to fill our days than it was in Madina. We have a lot more people we can teach so it is nice.

 

 

Thursday was good. We did our weekly planning and then taught more people. We put two people on date for baptism, they are siblings  and their names are Emmanuela and William. Pretty cool kids and they like to learn.

 

 

Friday was a solid day of just teaching. One right after the other. We also put a kid named Moses on date for this Sunday also! All three people will be interviewed this Thursday. A lot of times when we teach, for example, when we go to a compound and teach some kids, a lot of parents from the surrounding house will come bring their kids and say teach them please. Was a little weird at first but now it's just normal haha. Makes it a little harder to see who is serious or not but it makes for good teaching. 

 

 

Saturday was a busy day. This was our day to go to Monsu which is a good distance out and teach people there. We had four lessons that day and several contacts. We are teaching this one guy named Isaac. Pretty cool dude. He is not a member nor is his dad. When he was with his dad when his dad was on his death bed, one of his dads last words was him seeing a Book of Mormon and him saying this book is true. Also to note that Isaacs dad cant read. Really cool experience and then he found us so we have been teaching him. But this last meeting got a little interesting. After our lesson he showed us his drawings. He says he does spiritual traveling and he showed us his maps and drawings and languages. Kinda weird, kinda looks border line witchcraft but here we are haha. Honestly looks like he is just meditating with extra steps but will have someone prob Bishop investigate further for us haha. But yeah that was part of that day. Fun times.

 

 

Sunday we had a good time at church with all the members. We had a lot of investigators come to church also which was cool. After church I did some investigating in the scriptures. One of our friends on Saturday named courage is a seventh day Adventist and was really pushing us on the sabbath day being Saturday. So we shared some knowledge with him but he's being a little blind to the truth if you will haha. So I'm trying to help him understand. But at this point he just needs to pray. Other than that it was good rest of the day. 

 

 

We will hopefully have three baptism this Sunday which is nice! This next week looks good. We are also going on an exchange this week also. So it will be a good week. The Last *Full* Week

Yep, you read it correctly. This upcoming week is my last Monday to Sunday on mission. The week after I go home. Fly home that is. What an exhilarating time to be in. I am excited. But till that day comes, I'm here working and putting my last finishing touches in Ghana. The work is sweet, divine, and no where near my own work, but I'm here helping it.  This past week we've had some interesting experiences. We met an old African American women who was anti and didn't like white people. Was sad to see, someone so lost believing anything she sees online and giving no time or thought to the actual truth. Where truth is the spirit manifests itself, during that conversation there was no spirit, and not an ounce of happiness from her face. The gospel I Share brings joy to my heart everytime and to others it is shared with, as they embrace it. Please remember this when going around sifting through truth. The Home Stretch

I'm just going to say sorry right now that these last couple emails are probably going to be short because there's just a lot of preparation going on and just a lot of teaching, nothing big is really happening right now. So with that... I had a good exchange on Wednesday with some Elders. I went with Elder Miles from Utah. He has a lot of potential.  We did a lot of finding this week with trying to find new people to teach. We will always see some funny sign boards or some weird name of a place. This week I found New York! Pic below. We also just went up some mountains trying to find people. Even the mountain people need the gospel and ordinances. Good times.  Now we are up to Busschau 3 - Rat (we have found out that these are RATS) 0. That's what they get for peeing on my clothes.  So I have 2 more pdays after today. Busschau 2 - Mouse 0

Yeah we have a mouse problem. Let's just say these little guys don't live long when I see them. I can send pictures If asked for. Hope all of you are doing well! I've had a pretty good week. We had our first interviews with President Beeson. It was wonderful, I'm very grateful for his inspiration and advice. I can feel he was truly sent to this mission for a purpose.  This week we were able to put one of our good friends on date for baptism. Her name is Sister Vida and she is a mother to 5 children. She has been being taught by missionaries for long time and finally I get the privilege to be the missionary who will witness her baptism (hopefully). She has shown lots of faith and we've had some great spiritual lessons with her. Hopefully she will keep to her commitments and she will be baptized on the 19th August.
