Goodbye Madina :(
After 9 months in Madina, I've been called to leave. Didn't think I'd actually be sad to leave the people here. But I'm super excited to see whats next. Lets talk.
Tuesday we had our District council meeting like usual and was a good meeting. Not much happened afterwards, we just met with one person in Legon. His name is Prince and he is pretty interesting.
Wednesday we started out by meeting with moses. He is pretty cool too. Afterwards we went to Emmanuels House and met the rest of his family and taught him. He was so excited and was ready to meet. He told us for the last 10 years he would tell everyone that this was his church but he just recently decided that he should actually go. Now he is in date for baptism and we hope to baptise his whole family at the end of this month. In the evening we interviewed Benedicta and Austin for baptism and they both passed! They got baptised on Sunday. Also in the evening we had a member make us some role eggs and fresh mango cheese cake. Was absolutely delicious. Almost cried lol.
Thursday we did our weekly planning as usual and in the evening we met with this one girl who's name is abigail. She was a member refferel from our relief society president. She is also now on date for baptism on the 17th of this month. So if you have refferels, give them to the missionaries! Helps us out a lot if they already have friends in the church!! The work is really progressing here in Madina.
Friday was a good day full of appointments and meeting people. Saw Prince, Emmanuel and his family, and Abigail again. Really good day.
Saturday was very cool. In the morning we got transfer news. So as you know from the beginning of my email and the subject, I am leaving Madina2 ward and legon branch after 9 months. I will be going to the Ashiaman Stake and my area is now Zenu. I'm excited to go to Zenu and see how it goes. My new companion is Elder Miller, white guy from utah. Should be a fun time. Afternoonish we met with some people but then in the evening I went to my first Ghanian wedding. Absolutely crazy. That's it. Lots of people there, loud music, so so so much rice. But a very fun and entertaining experience I won't forget
Sunday was good. Was able to say goodbye to a lot of members that I've built longterm relationships with. Was sad to say bye but I'm ready to leave haha. Was able to bear my Testimony in both meetings. After church we had our baptisms! Like always was a cool and spiritual time. And also like always the ward last minute planned it because they didn't prepare haha. But was good. Benedicta and Austin were baptised and will be confirmed next week without me. After the baptism we had a branch council meeting and discussed missionary work in the branch. Afterwards since I'm leaving the legon, the branch leaders took me out for lunch at a place called Starbites and it was amazing. I got one of the best pina coladas I've ever had with fresh coconut and pineapple and then I had lasagna for my meal. Was glorious. So thankful for the branch.
This last week has been very great and work filled and spiritual. A great last week in Madina. I leave for Zenu this Wednesday and will tell you all about it next week. Like always I'm greatful for all of your support and love. Write me if you'd like!! Alright thats all for this week. Till next time.
Much Love,
Elder Busschau.
Some of you may wonder what the one food is I'm eating with my hands. That is fufu in light soup and chicken.
