Full Week In Zenu
Hello my friends and family! This week was good and a lot happened. I'm learning more about the area and loving the people. Let's talk.
Tuesday we did some finding and learning more about the area. In the evening time we met with some recent converts and helped them learn more about the church. Not too much this day.
Wednesday we had our zone conference! This was a special and probably my favorite one by far on mission because we had a general authority there from the 70. It was Elder Jörg Klebingot. His mind is just a scripture bank full of knowledge and we learnt a lot from him. Very cool! I also recommend reading his general conference talk from just this last conference! That took pretty much the entire day.
Thursday we did our weekly planning meeting and again was just trying to learn more of the area. The planning sessions are nice because it helps us both learn more about the area and what we are trying to do. Afterwards we met with two members. One of them is about to turn in his papers to serve a mission which is cool. The other was a family that fed us kokonte A.K.A. face the wall. Look down for a picture. I swear you can label every food here as "it's an acquired taste" or "it tastes like nothing" No in between. Was a good time to meet with them nonetheless.
Friday was also a good day. Met with two members and some kids. There are a lot of recent converts in this ward so we are mainly trying to meet with them all and help them progress right now.
Saturday Elder Miller was feeling sick so we didn't go to Monsu which is about a 30 min bike ride from us so we just stayed around our chapel area. We went proselyting with a member who is about to go on a mission also so that was a fun time too. He learnt a lot and he helped us with the language barrier. We met with a member and then went looking with him. I also tried chicken feet! I'll just leave it at that haha.
Sunday we had a good time at church. A lot of the people we invited came and I got to bless the sacrament. The ward is definitely different from Madina but the ward is good and I can see the people trying. There's always a good spirit there so it was nice. We had a ward council meeting afterwards and talked about missionary work. Not too much afterwards, just going around and helping people.
This week was good. Some parts felt long and some felt short. That's just missionary work for you there. I hope you all had a good week! Zenu is doing good. We have interviews with the president this week so I got that. Write me if you get a second! I may not reply to everyone but I read every single one!! Always appreciate your love and support! Alright, till next week
Much love,
Elder Busschau.
