Trust. Listen. Act.

Here we are again. Another week. Another week of experiences gone through. Another week of strength and knowledge built upon. Let's talk about it.

 

 

Tuesday, we had interviews with our Mission President. Some good news, it pretty much sounds like I'll be moving out of Madina 2 next transfer. I told him I've been here about 9 months and he said we better move you then haha. We get transfer news this Saturday so we will see then! I'll Let you all know next week what's happening. Other than that we had a lesson also with Benedicta who is doing great and will be baptised this Sunday if all goes well! 

 

 

Wednesday was very slow. We had district council this day because of the interviews the day before. Was a good council, learnt a few things. Other than that the rest of the day was very slow and not much happened.

 

 

Thursday we did our weekly planning and afterwards we went tracting in the lowest part of our area, East Legon. Also, East Legon is the second most rich community in all of Ghana so let's just say not much success there haha. It's about 30 min bike ride down so was a trip but was nice because I like biking, my companion on the other hand didn't have as much fun though. Nothing much again after that.

 

 

Friday was actually pretty good. We were able to teach several people and give a couple Blessings to some sick members. But that was about it. 

 

 

Saturday was also pretty good. We were able to teach Benedicta and Austin again and getting them ready for baptism. We taught some other people and also gave an investigator a blessing because she has also been very sick. Some really cool experiences going around and helping people and feeling the spirit! 

 

 

Sunday was good with church. But that was also a very long day. Not a lot happend so it felt very long. 

 

 

Last Monday I got news from home. As most of you probably have heard my Brother has past away and moved on to the next chapter of life. Not much to say about it but that I know he is in a much, much better place and learning and growing. Im proud of him. Love you bro! 

 

 

A scripture that came to mind that I also really like that helps me to trust in the Lord is in The Book of Mormon, Jacob 4:10. It says 

"10 Wherefore, brethren, seek not to counsel the Lord, but to take counsel from his hand. For behold, ye yourselves know that he counseleth in wisdom, and in justice, and in great mercy, over all his works."

Sometimes it's best to just Trust and Listen to see what He has to say to you. And then to Act. He knows what's best and He knows the Whole plan! 

 

 

So thats it for this week. Like I said, I find out if I'm officially moving or not this Saturday. So I'll let you all know next week. It's been quite a miracle to have the knowledge of Christ.

The Last *Full* Week

Yep, you read it correctly. This upcoming week is my last Monday to Sunday on mission. The week after I go home. Fly home that is. What an exhilarating time to be in. I am excited. But till that day comes, I'm here working and putting my last finishing touches in Ghana. The work is sweet, divine, and no where near my own work, but I'm here helping it.  This past week we've had some interesting experiences. We met an old African American women who was anti and didn't like white people. Was sad to see, someone so lost believing anything she sees online and giving no time or thought to the actual truth. Where truth is the spirit manifests itself, during that conversation there was no spirit, and not an ounce of happiness from her face. The gospel I Share brings joy to my heart everytime and to others it is shared with, as they embrace it. Please remember this when going around sifting through truth. The Home Stretch

I'm just going to say sorry right now that these last couple emails are probably going to be short because there's just a lot of preparation going on and just a lot of teaching, nothing big is really happening right now. So with that... I had a good exchange on Wednesday with some Elders. I went with Elder Miles from Utah. He has a lot of potential.  We did a lot of finding this week with trying to find new people to teach. We will always see some funny sign boards or some weird name of a place. This week I found New York! Pic below. We also just went up some mountains trying to find people. Even the mountain people need the gospel and ordinances. Good times.  Now we are up to Busschau 3 - Rat (we have found out that these are RATS) 0. That's what they get for peeing on my clothes.  So I have 2 more pdays after today. Busschau 2 - Mouse 0

Yeah we have a mouse problem. Let's just say these little guys don't live long when I see them. I can send pictures If asked for. Hope all of you are doing well! I've had a pretty good week. We had our first interviews with President Beeson. It was wonderful, I'm very grateful for his inspiration and advice. I can feel he was truly sent to this mission for a purpose.  This week we were able to put one of our good friends on date for baptism. Her name is Sister Vida and she is a mother to 5 children. She has been being taught by missionaries for long time and finally I get the privilege to be the missionary who will witness her baptism (hopefully). She has shown lots of faith and we've had some great spiritual lessons with her. Hopefully she will keep to her commitments and she will be baptized on the 19th August.
