Ether 12:12

Another week in the books down in the streets of Madina. This week not much happened, I'll be honest. Except our dry spinner broke today. Very inconvenient when trying to dry sopping wet clothes. Alright let me get into it.

 

 

Tuesday we had our Zone council meeting with the whole zone. It was pretty good. Learned a little bit haha. After wards felt like a drag for a while. Everyone was hanging around and waiting for some other people to come so me and another elder, Elder Hircshi, went and left and did contacting by ourselves. I won't take credit it was his idea haha but was good. We went around talked with some people and then it started to rain pretty hard for a second. Then it was weird because it just stopped and paused just for the right amount of time for us to get back to the Chapel. Was like God saying "Well done now go back" Haha. Not much after that.

 

 

Wednesday we were able to meet with just a few people and one of those was Prince Ben. He was a Media refferel to us and he is always interesting to teach. He is always like "This is very new to me and it is interesting, sorry if I offend you but what is...." Then usually asks like a normal question haha. In the evening we went to Madina Institute and it was very interesting. Let's just say it was a lot of back and forth on things that didn't matter at all haha. For instance, "Are we sure that the female slave wasn't married or not?" 

 

 

Thursday we had our weekly planning as always and then just did a lot of contacting afterwards. Not that interesting today.

 

 

Friday was quite the same as Thursday. Just going around trying to find new people. We did meet with a member for a meal in the evening though. It was the Seglahs and they are always nice to be around. Brother selgah recently had a sister pass away so it was good to see him and try to help him out.

 

 

Saturday was a busy and hectic day. We went from one side of our area to the other, back and forth, people calling all day to move their appointments around. Was quite busy. We managed though and was able to get to everyone! Even though we were very tired at the end of the day it felt nice. We were also able to meet Olivia and we put her interview for this Wednesday to be baptised! That means if she passes she will be baptised this Sunday! We hope she does so please pray she keeps the desire! 

 

 

Sunday we had a wonderful time at church. Legon branch has stopped meeting for the vacation (schools out). They will be back next month. We were with Madina 2 ward again and one of our investigators who we have been teaching for about 4 months now finally got time to come to church! Was really cool to see. Literally the only thing keeping him from baptism was coming to church. Please pray that he will be able to come more and find that time. His name is Gabriel and he's a really great guy! 

 

 

That's about it this week. Not too interesting but was a week nonetheless. This week we have Zone Conference so that is exciting! I'm ready for that and for all things I'll learn. We will baptise Olivia Sunday and it will be nice. Miss and love you all! Sorry for not that many pictures this week, hopefully last week makes up for it haha. Till Next week!

The Last *Full* Week

Yep, you read it correctly. This upcoming week is my last Monday to Sunday on mission. The week after I go home. Fly home that is. What an exhilarating time to be in. I am excited. But till that day comes, I'm here working and putting my last finishing touches in Ghana. The work is sweet, divine, and no where near my own work, but I'm here helping it.  This past week we've had some interesting experiences. We met an old African American women who was anti and didn't like white people. Was sad to see, someone so lost believing anything she sees online and giving no time or thought to the actual truth. Where truth is the spirit manifests itself, during that conversation there was no spirit, and not an ounce of happiness from her face. The gospel I Share brings joy to my heart everytime and to others it is shared with, as they embrace it. Please remember this when going around sifting through truth. The Home Stretch

I'm just going to say sorry right now that these last couple emails are probably going to be short because there's just a lot of preparation going on and just a lot of teaching, nothing big is really happening right now. So with that... I had a good exchange on Wednesday with some Elders. I went with Elder Miles from Utah. He has a lot of potential.  We did a lot of finding this week with trying to find new people to teach. We will always see some funny sign boards or some weird name of a place. This week I found New York! Pic below. We also just went up some mountains trying to find people. Even the mountain people need the gospel and ordinances. Good times.  Now we are up to Busschau 3 - Rat (we have found out that these are RATS) 0. That's what they get for peeing on my clothes.  So I have 2 more pdays after today. Busschau 2 - Mouse 0

Yeah we have a mouse problem. Let's just say these little guys don't live long when I see them. I can send pictures If asked for. Hope all of you are doing well! I've had a pretty good week. We had our first interviews with President Beeson. It was wonderful, I'm very grateful for his inspiration and advice. I can feel he was truly sent to this mission for a purpose.  This week we were able to put one of our good friends on date for baptism. Her name is Sister Vida and she is a mother to 5 children. She has been being taught by missionaries for long time and finally I get the privilege to be the missionary who will witness her baptism (hopefully). She has shown lots of faith and we've had some great spiritual lessons with her. Hopefully she will keep to her commitments and she will be baptized on the 19th August.
