Transfer This Week

Mepacho anti-san? Chale howfa?

Another week, lots of rain. This week has been good and colder! Some good appointments and a fresh cut.

Tuesday we had a great district council meeting. We learned a lot and had a great time with the other missionaries. Was a fun time and went into the market and was cool. That took most of the day and was able to meet one person that evening. His name is Kendrick and he's always happy to see us. Not sure if it's because we are missionaries or he thinks we are taking him to America. Nonetheless he's a cool guy haha.

Wednesday was NICE. It was a testament that it is now rainy season. It rained for a good portion of the day and hard! This was very nice because it made the air very cool. Well cool for me, probably just dropped down to the lower 80s lol. But it was awesome. It did make everything muddy and then people didn't want to meet with us but that's ok. I also was able to get a haircut this day and it looks alright. There was a nice audience of people watching this guy cut a white man's hair but it went good haha.

Thursday we did some planning for the week and went around trying to find people. The one downside when it does rain is that NOBODY wants to meet during or after it rains because they are kinda afraid of it. So it makes it hard to find or meet with people.

Friday it rained again hard. But mainly for the morning. But it made it hard again to meet with people. This week I've watched a lot of bible and BOM videos which have actually helped me better understand some stories so I recommend watching a few if you haven't. But this day not much happened.

Saturday was a good teaching day. Rain mostly dried up so was able to meet with people and in the evening, Olivia made us some Banku and ocra stew. Ocra stew is made with fish and seasonings and ocra. Let's just say fish and banku are not my favorite so that was a hard meal haha. But I can tell that's all she had to give which made me all more happy and grateful for the kind hearts of people here in Ghana. They can give so much when they themselves keep so so little. They rather I go off full and them starving than for me to be a little hungry. Very grateful for the people.

Sunday was very nice! It was nice to see all the members again after two weeks because of General Conference. We had a good time and the Legon branch had their Branch conference  so we learned a lot from that too.

Transfer news came in Saturday and Elder Sawyer is leaving to HoHoe! Which is the farthest area in our mission haha. I'm staying here in Madina and getting a new companion. His name is Elder Nicholes. The new transfer starts Wednesday so thats when I'll meet him. It's been great serving with Sawyer but I'm ready for change after 6 months lol. So I'll tell you about Nicholes next email.

That's about it for this week. Hope you all are chilling and just having a great time. Try to see the Lord throughout your day's. He's there, trust me. Just have to open your eyes and be humble. Love you all! Thanks for all the support.

Best,

Elder Busschau.
