Game On!
Hello Everyone!
This week has been quite interesting. But good nonetheless. Went from rain's like God was about to flood the earth to sports tournaments putting wards against wards.
Tuesday we had our Zone council and it went pretty well. Was able to meet some of the new people in our zone and discuss our goals for this transfer. We have a pretty good zone this fransfer so that is nice.
Wednesday was quite interesting. We had appointments fall through and didn't start out to great but towards the evening the rains came. Some video and pictures below. So much rain it was quite insane. I've be told it gets worse though so looks like I'm in for a ride.
Thursday was alright. Did a lot of contacting which didnt really lead to anything and started getting a little sick towards the end of the day.
Friday I was still a little sick so we didn't do a whole lot other than planning but luckily by Friday night I was feeling better so nothing too bad.
Saturday was the huge yearly stake sports tournament. This is where all the wards and branches in Madina Stake get together and do a footbal(soccer), volleyball, and table tennis tournament. Took the whole day and I got baked like a potato but was fun. It was actually quite crazy to watch because I saw all these nice members just turn into savages to make sure they win haha. I am proud to say though that Madina 2 ward won all three sports and took home the trophy! Was also nice seeing all the other missionaries again from the zone.
Sunday was good. I gave a talk in church and afterwards a recent concert that I baptized came up to me and told me just how much he needed to hear my talk today. It was really inspiring to hear because this was the first time he has came in like a month and a half to church. Helps me know that God really puts people in our lives at specific times to either hear our message or for us to hear theirs. The member is also really having a hard time in life right now so was awesome to hear that God was able to help him through my message.
I'll be hanging out today with some other missionaries and doing some laundry but I'm thankful for all of you and for all of the birthday wishes! I love you all but Jesus Loves you more.
Best,
Elder Busschau.
