Excavation Graveyard

Hello Everyone!

 

 

Another week gone. Transfer is this week. Nothing new though.

 

 

Tuesday was good. We had district council which was good. Nothing too much, had some good appointments.

 

 

Wednesday was a good day. We got a new person and her name is Beatrice. Really cool and has like a jungle in her back yard which is nice. We also had a nice lesson  with Gabriel, he is really cool but is just busy on Sundays. Wednesday night we also had a going away party for a member going on her mission to Nigeria. Good food and was a nice party.

 

 

Thursday was good. Not too much happened, went contacting most of the day and went to legon for institute with them. 

 

 

Friday was a little rough. Nobody wanted to meet with us and everyone was busy. So was just walking around trying to find people. 

 

 

Saturday was kind of like Friday except we were able to meet with one person and her name is Olivia. She is cool but doesn't really pay attention haha.

 

 

Sunday was good too. Church was nice and the members are always fun. 

 

 

Not too much happened this week but it was solid. The new transfer starts this week which is cool! No change for me but Elder Sawyer and I will be doing good things this transfer. 

 

 

I hit 6 months several days ago and it still seems crazy. This mission feels like I've only been here a couple days and then a couple years haha. Still good though and learning so much.

The Last *Full* Week

Yep, you read it correctly. This upcoming week is my last Monday to Sunday on mission. The week after I go home. Fly home that is. What an exhilarating time to be in. I am excited. But till that day comes, I'm here working and putting my last finishing touches in Ghana. The work is sweet, divine, and no where near my own work, but I'm here helping it.  This past week we've had some interesting experiences. We met an old African American women who was anti and didn't like white people. Was sad to see, someone so lost believing anything she sees online and giving no time or thought to the actual truth. Where truth is the spirit manifests itself, during that conversation there was no spirit, and not an ounce of happiness from her face. The gospel I Share brings joy to my heart everytime and to others it is shared with, as they embrace it. Please remember this when going around sifting through truth. The Home Stretch

I'm just going to say sorry right now that these last couple emails are probably going to be short because there's just a lot of preparation going on and just a lot of teaching, nothing big is really happening right now. So with that... I had a good exchange on Wednesday with some Elders. I went with Elder Miles from Utah. He has a lot of potential.  We did a lot of finding this week with trying to find new people to teach. We will always see some funny sign boards or some weird name of a place. This week I found New York! Pic below. We also just went up some mountains trying to find people. Even the mountain people need the gospel and ordinances. Good times.  Now we are up to Busschau 3 - Rat (we have found out that these are RATS) 0. That's what they get for peeing on my clothes.  So I have 2 more pdays after today. Busschau 2 - Mouse 0

Yeah we have a mouse problem. Let's just say these little guys don't live long when I see them. I can send pictures If asked for. Hope all of you are doing well! I've had a pretty good week. We had our first interviews with President Beeson. It was wonderful, I'm very grateful for his inspiration and advice. I can feel he was truly sent to this mission for a purpose.  This week we were able to put one of our good friends on date for baptism. Her name is Sister Vida and she is a mother to 5 children. She has been being taught by missionaries for long time and finally I get the privilege to be the missionary who will witness her baptism (hopefully). She has shown lots of faith and we've had some great spiritual lessons with her. Hopefully she will keep to her commitments and she will be baptized on the 19th August.
