Transfer 2!!!
Hello Everybody!!
I am now all settled in to my new apartment and area. I spelt the area wrong in the last email so let me fix that here, it is spelt like Madina. I can already tell this transfer is going to much better than the last. The people are really cool here and my companion is great! His name is Elder Sawyer and he is from Colorado. He has been on mission for about 14 months and he actually was reassigned at first to the tacoma Washington mission! He served there for about 7 months before coming to Ghana. He is a cool guy.
This apartment is also much nicer than my last. It is smaller in area though but more cleaner and good looking. Although it doesn't have A/C it has a water heater! That means hot showers for at least this transfer!
In this area we are over a branch and a ward like my last. Church on Sunday was cool too. This Sunday only like 10 people came to the branch though so that is a new experience for me having such small church meetings.
Africa is still quite wild, Tuesday we were in a uber driving back to my area from district council so I was still in the kpone area but as we were driving back, at the same exact time, our uber ran over a cat and the taxi next to us ran over a full size goat going like 20mph. Both are dead now and they just kept on driving like nothing happened. So yeah, wild.
I went to a super store for the first time also when I got to madina. It was a very nice experience because I haven't been in a real store for like 8 weeks haha. Although things are quite expensive it was nice to buy some frosted flakes instead of having plain oat meal for breakfast.
It's still crazy to me to see some of the living situations people are in today and still see how happy they are, Or at least they aren't complaining. It really humbles me and let's me know how lucky I really am and also how lucky I am for the opportunities that America has.
I wasn't able to take too many pictures this week because of the whole transfer thing but I do have some so hope you enjoy.
I'm really really grateful for all the support that all of you give me and love. Really helps me through all the hard and challenging times. Mission ain't easy so whoever told you that lied but you definitely grow in ways that are unimaginable.
Till next email my amigos and family,
Elder Busschau. :)
