Last Day!

Hello Everybody! 

 

 

A lot has happened here during my last week of MTC. First off, I have gotten my travel itinerary! I check out of the mtc at 7:50am and fly to New York the JFK airport around 2pm. I get there around 8:30pm and have about a 3 hour layover then I fly straight to Ghana Accra. I leave New York around 11:30pm and don't get to Ghana until 2ish pm Thursday. So needless to say I have a lot of plane time! I am ready to leave here though and get to Africa!! My last day of classes was Saturday so I have had a few days off now but my days have been full of devotionals and information meetings. Sunday I gave a lesson in priesthood meeting about personal revelation and it was very cool! I was able to feel the spirit and I was able to see people learning. Earlier this week an Elder in my district sprained his foot pretty bad, later that night he asked all of us for a blessing. This gave all the Elders in my district an opportunity to give him a healing priesthood blessing. It was a very cool and spiritual experience. He is almost all better now and is ready to head out! 

 

 

Anyways this is my last email I will be giving in the MTC. The next time you will receive an email, I will be in Accra Ghana! Again, Thank you all for your support and love!

The Last *Full* Week

Yep, you read it correctly. This upcoming week is my last Monday to Sunday on mission. The week after I go home. Fly home that is. What an exhilarating time to be in. I am excited. But till that day comes, I'm here working and putting my last finishing touches in Ghana. The work is sweet, divine, and no where near my own work, but I'm here helping it.  This past week we've had some interesting experiences. We met an old African American women who was anti and didn't like white people. Was sad to see, someone so lost believing anything she sees online and giving no time or thought to the actual truth. Where truth is the spirit manifests itself, during that conversation there was no spirit, and not an ounce of happiness from her face. The gospel I Share brings joy to my heart everytime and to others it is shared with, as they embrace it. Please remember this when going around sifting through truth. The Home Stretch

I'm just going to say sorry right now that these last couple emails are probably going to be short because there's just a lot of preparation going on and just a lot of teaching, nothing big is really happening right now. So with that... I had a good exchange on Wednesday with some Elders. I went with Elder Miles from Utah. He has a lot of potential.  We did a lot of finding this week with trying to find new people to teach. We will always see some funny sign boards or some weird name of a place. This week I found New York! Pic below. We also just went up some mountains trying to find people. Even the mountain people need the gospel and ordinances. Good times.  Now we are up to Busschau 3 - Rat (we have found out that these are RATS) 0. That's what they get for peeing on my clothes.  So I have 2 more pdays after today. Busschau 2 - Mouse 0

Yeah we have a mouse problem. Let's just say these little guys don't live long when I see them. I can send pictures If asked for. Hope all of you are doing well! I've had a pretty good week. We had our first interviews with President Beeson. It was wonderful, I'm very grateful for his inspiration and advice. I can feel he was truly sent to this mission for a purpose.  This week we were able to put one of our good friends on date for baptism. Her name is Sister Vida and she is a mother to 5 children. She has been being taught by missionaries for long time and finally I get the privilege to be the missionary who will witness her baptism (hopefully). She has shown lots of faith and we've had some great spiritual lessons with her. Hopefully she will keep to her commitments and she will be baptized on the 19th August.
